“Kit Hesketh-Harvey, three-decade veteran of Kit and the Widow, is back with his accompanist, the composer-pianist James McConnel. Prepare for erudite Cowardesque ditties, impeccable delivery and a dash of filth.”
James McConnel and Kit Hesketh-Harvey studied theatre writing with Stephen Sondheim at Oxford, which was followed by further collaborations,Yusupov (Bridewell) and New Edna (Theatre Royal, Haymarket) starring Barry Humphries. The pair are cabaret-in-residence at the UK’s Number 1 venue, The Crazy Coqs in London’s Piccadilly. They sing topical, musically-literate, and bespoke songs about the Big Subjects: Love, Death, Wet Wipes. They have been acknowledged as ‘International Cabaret Royalty’ by Time Out, and as ‘achingly funny’ by The Times.
